After spending his first six pro seasons in the NBA, big man Chimezie Metu made his EuroLeague debut with FC Barcelona on Thursday night in Kaunas.

The 49th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, Metu had 7 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals in more than 22 minutes on the court, but Barca stumbled against the hosts, losing 67-74 in a packed Zalgirio Arena.

"It was a good, good atmosphere," Metu told BasketNews about his first taste of EuroLeague action. "It's a good first experience in the EuroLeague. I knew it was gonna be tough with that home crowd, so they did what they had to do. It's just we have to go back and regroup and get ready for our next game."
