Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade continued their strong start to the new EuroLeague season, securing a second consecutive win by defeating Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz 78-71 at home on Wednesday night.

After the game, Baskonia head coach Pablo Laso praised the Serbian team's strengths.
"For me, Red Star has one very good thing that's important at this high level: they have experience, and they have players who can decide games," Laso noted during the post-game conference. "For example, [Nikola] Kalinic, [Nemanja] Nedovic, [Milos] Teodosic. So one thing is that they control these situations, and that makes them very dangerous.
"If you really want to beat them, you cannot wait for that moment because they will be ready; they have players who will be able to score and create. They have a very good roster to play [in clutch moments]," the Spanish coach added.
In this particular game, it was Kalinic who delivered a three-point dagger with 38 seconds left to extend Crvena Zvezda's lead to eight points.
Red Star had previously defeated Paris in Round 1. In the upcoming double-round week, they will face Fenerbahce and Barcelona.
