Bonzie Colson and Wade Baldwin IV discuss their emotions after facing Maccabi for the first time and reveals the details behind their move to Fenerbahce.

Last May, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv were one step away from reaching the Final Four, with Wade Baldwin IVBonzie Colson, and Lorenzo Brown leading the team throughout the season.

It would have been a true Cinderella story – a team with no home fans and from a country fighting in a war reaching the top of European basketball.

Yet, life happened, and after the season finished, this united Maccabi team was picked apart piece by piece.

Fast-forward to October, and two former Maccabi stars, Wade Baldwin IV and Bonzie Colson, were facing the Israeli powerhouse while representing Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul.

In the BasketNews EuroLeague GMs survey, Fenerbahce were recognized for such a coup by being named as a team that had the best offseason.

Both of them spent two seasons in Tel Aviv, and Tuesday's game in Kaunas was the first time when Baldwin and Colson faced their previous team.

"Oh man, those memories are endless," Baldwin told BasketNews after the game. "It's almost like a hard breakup in a way – you finally find a team you really connect with, a group you love, but for circumstances that happened, you have to move on."

Yet, the new chapter began for Baldwin and Colson. So, how did the Maccabi duo become Fenerbahce's?
