The Sendai 89ers are expected to sign center Boubacar Toure for the 2025–26 B.League season. He brings EuroLeague experience from the 2023–24 season with Valencia Basket.
Senegalese center Boubacar Toure is making the move from Spain's ACB League to Japan. According to BasketNews sources, the 29-year-old big man is expected to sign with the Sendai 89ers.
Toure began the 2024–25 season with the Liaoning Flying Leopards in China before joining Breogan River in Spain for the remainder of the campaign.
In 14 ACB appearances, he averaged 5.3 points on 59.1% shooting from two-point range, along with 3.1 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game.
He recorded a season-high 14 points on two occasions—against BAXI Manresa and Coviran Granada.
Toure previously spent the 2023–24 season with Valencia Basket, where he averaged 4.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague.
In Sendai, Toure joins a roster that has recently featured several names familiar to European basketball fans, including Cristiano Felicio, Stanton Kidd, and Nathan Boothe.
