Georgios Bartzokas is expected to remain as Olympiacos head coach through 2026, with the Greek club showing no intention of activating the opt-out clause in his contract.
Olympiacos Piraeus head coach Georgios Bartzokas has led the team to another Greek championship — his third league title during his second stint with the Reds.
Bartzokas is under contract with Olympiacos through the summer of 2026, and according to Konstantinos Melayess of Sport24, he is expected to stay and fulfill the remainder of the deal.
The contract reportedly includes a team-only opt-out clause for this summer, but there is no indication the club intends to use it.
The club's owners, Panagiotis and Giorgos Angelopoulos, continue to back Bartzokas, who has now won three domestic titles over the past four years, per the same report.
Melayess noted that if Olympiacos had failed to win the Greek championship this season, Bartzokas' future with the club might have looked different.
The 59-year-old coach has been at the helm since 2020, with a previous spell from 2012 to 2014.

During his current tenure, he has guided Olympiacos to four consecutive EuroLeague Final Fours. However, the team has yet to capture the title during that run.
This past season, Olympiacos entered the playoffs as the No. 1 seed but lost in the semifinals and finished third.
Following Sunday's championship win, Bartzokas revealed he had considered resigning at one point due to internal pressure and fan criticism.
