Brady Manek is joining Puerto Rico's Leones de Ponce, aiming for a fresh start after limited impact in the EuroLeague and a brief loan stint in Turkiye.
Brady Manek is heading to Puerto Rico for the next chapter of his career. The Leones de Ponce have officially announced the signing of the American forward, as the team enters a crucial stretch of the regular season.
Leones currently sit fourth in Group B of the Puerto Rican League, with a 13–13 record. Eight games remain in the first round, and only the top four teams from each group will advance to the next stage.
Manek recently spent time on loan with Mersin in Turkiye after Zalgiris Kaunas sent him there in mid-April. In six Turkish League games, he averaged 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, and shot 34.4% from beyond the arc (11-of-32).
Although Manek signed a new deal with Zalgiris in March 2024 that runs through the summer of 2025, with an option for an additional year, he is not expected to return to playing in Lithuania.
This past season, the power forward played in 24 EuroLeague games, averaging 3.3 points and 1.2 rebounds in just 9 minutes per game.
He saw a slightly larger role in the Lithuanian League (LKL), where he posted 6.7 points and 2.4 rebounds over 14 minutes per contest, while connecting on 40.7% of his three-point attempts.
