Isaiah Wong signed a new 3-year contract with Zalgiris Kaunas until the end of the 2027-28 season. The agreement includes an opt-out clause for the NBA, EuroLeague, and China for the summer of 2025.
Zalgiris Kaunas guard Isaiah Wong signed a new, 3-year deal with the Lithuanian powerhouse, according to Michael Scotto from HoopsHype.
Scotto also reports that the agreement includes a friendly two-way out clause for the summer of 2025.
The opt-out clause includes the offers from the NBA, EuroLeague, and China, per the same report.
If Wong doesn't leave Zalgiris in the upcoming offseason, the 24-year-old will have a valid contract until the end of the 2027-28 season.
Wong joined Zalgiris this February after being waived by the Charlotte Hornets.
Since then, Wong has been averaging 6.4 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 6.0 PIR per game in 7 EuroLeague appearances for Zalgiris.
Wong played 20 games for the Hornets, averaging 6.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists while shooting 39.4% from three.
In one of his final outings, he scored 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting against the Pistons.
Wong also played seven G League games with Salt Lake City, averaging 26.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.5 steals.
He earned G League Player of the Week honors in November after a 41-point performance and a 27.8 PPG stretch over four games.
A second-round pick (55th overall) by Indiana in the 2023 NBA Draft, Wong saw brief NBA action in the NBA Cup final for the Pacers before spending most of the season with the Mad Ants, where he posted 14.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
