EuroLeague has fined Panathinaikos a total of €16,000 and Crvena Zvezda €25,000 for acts of disrespect and public comments regarding officiating during the 2024-25 Playoffs Game 1 and Play-In Showdown Game C.
EuroLeague Basketball has issued disciplinary sanctions following incidents that occurred during the 2024–25 EuroLeague Playoffs Game 1 and Play-In Showdown Game C.
Playoffs Game 1 – Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens vs. Anadolu Efes Istanbul:
- Sani Becirovic, Technical Director of Panathinaikos, has been fined €8,000 for acts showing a lack of respect toward the officiating crew, in violation of Article 27.2.b) of the EuroLeague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
- Ergin Ataman, Head Coach of Panathinaikos, has also been fined €8,000 for acts showing a lack of respect toward the officiating crew, under the same article.
Play-In Showdown Game C:
- Codi Miller-McIntyre, player for Crvena Zvezda, has been fined €5,000 for making comments regarding the officiating performance, under Article 24.2.c) of the EuroLeague Basketball Disciplinary Code.
- Ioannis Sfairopoulos, Head Coach of Crvena Zvezda, has been fined €5,000 for comments regarding officiating performance, also under Article 24.2.c).
- Zeljo Drcelic, President of Crvena Zvezda, has received a €15,000 fine for comments regarding the officiating performance, in violation of the same article.
