Lithuanian sharpshooter Deividas Sirvydis has signed a new three-year contract extension with Zalgiris Kaunas that will keep him with the team until the end of the 2027-28 season.
Zalgiris Kaunas has officially announced the contract extension of Lithuanian sharpshooter Deividas Sirvydis, signing a new "2+1" year deal that will keep him with the team through the end of the 2027-28 season.
This season in the EuroLeague, 24-year-old Sirvydis has averaged 8.4 points per game, shooting 51.5% from two-point range and 38.8% from beyond the arc.
He has also contributed 2.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists, and 0.5 steals in 16 minutes per game.
Sirvydis scored at least 14 points in 8 of his 34 appearances, including a career-high 19-point performance against former EuroLeague champions Panathinaikos Athens.
Before joining Zalgiris last summer, Sirvydis, a second-round pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, began his professional career with Rytas Vilnius in 2017.
He then had a brief stint with Hapoel Jerusalem, followed by a three-year period in the U.S., where he played for both NBA and G-League teams affiliated with the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers.
The year before joining Zalgiris, he spent a season in the EuroCup with Lietkabelis Panevezys, where he led the league in scoring, averaging 18.9 points per game.
